Serene living should be accessible to all

Many people look at Buddhism and hold two disparate ideas:

1 - The thought "I should meditate more"

2 - The thought of a completed enlightened Buddha

This polarity keeps many people away from the gifts that Buddhism has to offer the lay-person who has the intention to develop a deeper practice, but not the tools.

The aim of this practice is to deliver these mindfulness tools in an effective way which promotes:

Less stress

Greater self-compassion

Less restlessness and worry

A quieter mind

Less acting on compulsive desires

A greater sense of freedom

Lessen our feeling of alienation from the world & from others

Serenity is already within us.

This healing work derives from Contemporary Buddhist teachings. Core to the message is that nothing external is required of us to be free in our minds. What is needed is the removal of all the mental roadblocks that gets in the way. This is the hard work, the chipping away at the crystallized layers of self-hood which hold us in the illusion of suffering.

Through the persistent effort of this practice, a deeper peace gives us the space to flourish, and becomes the ruling divinity of our lives.

Offerings:

  • 8-week Applied Mindfulness series. Fully donation based. Learn the fundamentals of Buddha's message and develop a framework for understanding these principles that is directly applicable to your own challenges. Learn to meditate or deepen your existing practice. Supplemental readings and exercises create a full but gentle curriculum.

What is not offered:

  • A substitute for clinical mental health support, psychotherapy, or medical treatment

  • Direct treatment for anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, or other diagnosable conditions - this work exists entirely from spiritual principles, not from western psychology

  • A crisis intervention resource

  • 1:1 mindfulness-centered counseling. An alternative to conventional psychotherapy. In my own journey, I've found spiritually-based coaching more fruitful than traditional therapies. From core Buddhist principles, we work through personal barriers, recurring troubles, and personal blocks to your own sense of contentment and fulfillment.

Next 8-week series begins:

7:30-9pm Tuesday, Jan 20th, 2026
